The appointment was booked early

Although not related to this case, I have to say that I have struggled to achieve a phone call back from a doctor. The daily slots are gone in the first three minutes after eight and then you have to try again next day again. Not great at all.

I do not think the appointment system works for everyone. It is not always convenient to call at a certain time of day for an appointment on the day and an option to book for next day is not available. I heard someone asking for an appointment for next week whilst in the surgery, she was told her GP wasn't available. She asked to see someone else and was told she could only do that if it's an emergency..

I understand the reception staff are busy but sometimes/not always some can be very abrupt/boardering rude when you do not want to discuss your ailment. They need to understand that not everyone is willing to divulge there problem to someone other than their GP.

The receptionists at Old Town Surgery are very helpful. Like everyone I would like more appointments to be available to more patients but the Surgery are doing everything they can to accommodate us all. Dr. Rubery is just so reassuring in every way. The follow up procedures are very efficient too.

The screen in the reception needs to be fixed so the staff don't have to keep coming out to the waiting area.
